If our B30 subwoofer was a 24,000 foot mountain, the new S30 subwoofer would have to be Mount Everest. When we realized while developing VERA10 that our array could go beyond small and medium sized venues and find its place in large events with audiences of several thousands of people, it became clear that VERA would need its own powerful sub-bass support.
Converting one of the best subwoofers on the market to meet these new demands was the obvious thing to do, especially since said woofer happened to come from our own range of products. S30 not only shares the B30’s hybrid construction, it also has the same dimensions and is fully compatible with the B30 electronically and acoustically, etc.
On top of all this, we built the S30 with newly developed long-excursion speakers and an extremely sturdy, weather-resistant poly coating. At a total weight of only 42 kg the integrated rigging system allows the construction of flown bass arrays – upright or horizontal, behind or side-by-side with VERA10 arrays.
There’s more: S30 can do directionally projecting arrays, including arrays with rear-firing subs.
It also provides the foundation for VERA10 ground stacks: four S30s on top of each other, a GF10 and up to 8 VERA10 elements on top of that. Lash it all together - job done.
We have high hopes for the S30. But then, just one look at how well its brother B30 did should be enough to justify our optimism…
